About The Position

The Covey Arts Center is seeking a part-time Media Marketing Specialist to develop marketing campaigns and strategies that promote performances, activities, programs, and exhibits at the Covey Center for the Arts. Qualified, civic-minded individuals are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Art and Visual Communications, Graphic design, or similar with at least 1 year of graphic design experience; or 2-4 years experience in marketing and graphic design work.
• Valid, lawful driver license is required at time of appointment.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website design is a plus.
• Preference given to candidates with theatrical or arts experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Covey Center through creative, compelling media, including digital, print, broadcast, and event marketing.
• Develop graphic design materials and printed materials for Covey Center according to strict brand guidelines.
• Utilize Adobe programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Canva to create and manipulate digital and print assets such as photographs, web pages, graphics, social media images, banners, posters, signs, digital and print programs, contracts, and documents.
• Photograph using DSLR camera in manual settings under a variety of lighting settings.
• Act as a support for the Marketing Specialist in creating and posting social content, writing captions, and running paid ad campaigns.
• Use Project Management software (ClickUp, Teams) to streamline workflows and share documents.
• Collaborate closely with other marketing team members and volunteers, assist other staff as needed, and perform other related duties as required.
• Be self-motivated to meet deadlines, accomplish goals, and learn new skills as necessary.
• Maintain a positive, family-friendly working environment.
