About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Artisan Baking Supervisor to oversee our 1st shift baking operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the consistent production of high-quality baked goods while leading and developing a team of baking professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of food manufacturing best practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong Math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide without the aid of a calculator.
  • Ability to read and speak English.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively throughout shift.
  • Comfortable standing, lifting, and bending for the duration of an entire shift.
  • Ability to complete repetitive motions throughout designated shift.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time throughout shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in Food Service and/or Manufacturing environment strongly desired.
  • Ability to speak Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Precisely measuring and mixing ingredients into dough according to a recipe.
  • Rolling and cutting dough, depositing into baking pans, or distributing filling as part of a product.
  • Forming and shaping products from dough or batter according to recipe specifications.
  • Baking shaped dough and decorating the final product.
  • Using exact measurements and paying strict attention to timing.
  • Coaching and developing staff members, working with other leaders and Human Resources to facilitate positive relationships.
  • Optimizing operational efficiencies while ensuring high-quality standards are met or exceeded.
  • Ensuring all team members are trained and adhere to the company's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Ensuring all team members are trained and adhere to the company's HACCP and other food safety procedures.
  • Troubleshooting issues and involving maintenance to ensure equipment is available and properly maintained.
  • Ensuring daily orders are being filled accurately.
  • Regularly reviewing the performance of personnel within the department, promoting strengths and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Building team leaders to ensure the team functions well in the manager's absence.
  • Assisting other departments when needed to carry out the company's mission.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by management.
