About The Position

Peraton is hiring an Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Engineer to design, develop, test, and operationalize algorithms for complex business challenges and mission requirements. The role builds models that learn from data and generate predictions aligned with customer-defined business logic and operational needs. It requires proficiency in model architecture, data pipeline integration, and interpreting and presenting performance metrics, along with foundational knowledge of application development, infrastructure management, data engineering, and data governance. The engineer trains, retrains, deploys, schedules, monitors, and continually improves models in response to user and system feedback, delivering scalable, high-performance solutions. The position may involve leading geographically distributed teams and frequently serving as the primary technical point of contact. An active TS/SCI with Poly is required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in applied machine learning on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree from an accredited college or university in Advanced Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or Deep Learning.
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree plus 5 additional years of machine learning experience may be substituted for a master’s degree.
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
  • Experience working with various ML libraries, packages, and frameworks.
  • Experience with standard machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Nice To Haves

  • Expert knowledge of multiple programming languages, such as Python, Java, C, or R.
