2027 Artificial Intelligence Intern
About The Position
The Artificial Intelligence Intern will join the 2027 Summer Internship Program and focus on researching, prototyping, and developing internal AI tools that leverage modern large language models (LLMs). The intern will explore AI capabilities, build early-stage prototypes, and contribute ideas that may develop into production-ready solutions used across the company. The role includes evaluating AI technologies, experimenting with prompt engineering, assessing model outputs, researching potential business applications, and collaborating with team members on AI-driven solutions. The intern will also document tools, experiments, and project findings and communicate progress and results to the team.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or other large language model platforms.
- Interest in prompt engineering, AI experimentation, and applied machine learning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven, curious, and eager to learn new technologies.
- Passion for creating value through innovative technology solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to organize work and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.
- Legally able to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Python is preferred.
- SQL experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate modern AI technologies and tools.
- Assist in building internal AI tools using large language models (LLMs).
- Develop and test prompt engineering techniques to improve AI tool performance.
- Contribute to prototyping AI solutions that may evolve into production systems.
- Assist in evaluating model outputs and improving accuracy and reliability.
- Research emerging AI technologies and identify potential business applications.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and implement AI-driven solutions.
- Document tools, experiments, and project findings.
- Communicate ideas, progress, and results with the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
