About The Position
Togetherhood is expanding to Boston and seeking enthusiastic instructors to join their network. Togetherhood is a marketplace connecting passionate educators with schools and communities seeking enrichment programs. They offer opportunities to teach various subjects, including arts and crafts, to K-12 students. The mission is to provide high-quality enrichment and education to communities. Instructors are encouraged to share their craft, voice, and passion with children.
Requirements
- Experience teaching school-age children
- Excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
- Ability to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Brings your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
- Cooperative, supportive, flexible
- Dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy
- Appreciates support and clear expectations
- Provide a resume showcasing relevant teaching experience
- If lacking formal teaching experience, share any other relevant experience or training in a cover letter or application questionnaire

Responsibilities
- Conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for your class
- Create memorable experiences for the children in your class to help them grow and develop a passion for art
- Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!), prepared with the lesson plan for the day
- Help children understand why your art subject is so wonderful and how it has helped shape you as a person
