The Art Teacher will guide students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth and maturation. This role involves meeting and instructing assigned classes, preparing lessons that reflect achievable objectives, and creating an effective classroom environment conducive to learning. The teacher will work to achieve curriculum goals, communicate objectives to students, and address students' needs by referring them to appropriate school personnel when necessary. Building open communication with students and parents regarding academic and behavioral progress is key. The position also involves curriculum planning in cooperation with administration, taking precautions to protect students and resources, assisting administration with policy implementation, and participating in faculty and professional activities. The role requires timely completion of reports and paperwork, punctuality for assigned duties, and maintaining cooperative relationships with colleagues. Professional growth is encouraged through various avenues such as training courses, workshops, seminars, conferences, and college classes. The teacher must maintain appropriate emotional control, physical health, and personal appearance, and perform other assigned tasks.
