About The Position

We are looking for life-long learners passionate about shaping students' hearts and minds. Great Hearts currently provides over 30,000 K-12 students with access to a high quality, classical liberal arts education. We believe the highest goal of education is to become good, intellectually and morally. Fine Arts are not just electives but part of the core curriculum at Great Hearts: all students study music, drama, poetry and studio art. Studio Art coursework includes both “applied” focus on technique and imitation of masterworks, as well as substantive arts history, and appreciation. We boast a stellar faculty across the fine arts curriculum, most of whom are professional artists and performers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role
  • US work authorization is required

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
  • Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.
  • Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
  • Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.
