About The Position
Challenger School is seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our Traverse Mountain campus as an Art Teacher. The role involves providing students with the foundation needed to appreciate art on a deeper level and to understand how to create art on their own. The teacher will lead daily Art classes, maintain a safe and productive class environment, and work patiently with students and coworkers.
Requirements
- Two years of college or equivalent experience in art, drawing, illustrating, design, or other relevant field.
- Ability to pass a background check
- Completion of pre-employment assessments
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly learn Challenger’s art curriculum, teaching methods, and philosophy
- Provide students with the foundation needed to appreciate art on a deeper level and, more importantly, to understand how to create art on their own.
- Lead daily Art classes
- Maintain a safe and productive class environment
- Work patiently with students and coworkers
