About The Position

Individual is responsible for teaching all Art classes.

Requirements

• BAIBS Degree, CBEST, and appropriate California Teaching Credential
• 1-2 years’ experience in varied art Medias.
• Individual shall possess good report writing and lesson development skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Have and maintain proficient classroom management skills
• Computer literate in the Windows environment
• Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with Administration, faculty, students, and Tribal personnel.
• A current California Driver’s License or California Identification
• All applicants are required to complete the pre-screen Background Clearance and Drug Testing.
• Must be fingerprinted
• Must provide Official Transcripts

Nice To Haves

• Evidence of leadership skills in educational settings is preferred.
• Experience working within the Native American cultural environment preferred.
• Native American preferable

Responsibilities

• Prepare all course objectives and daily lesson plans.
• Establish and enforce behavior guidelines in the classroom.
• Evaluates and counsels’ students on work assignments.
• Works within the assigned group to evaluate materials and curriculum.
• Maintain professional attitude and demeanor.
• Oversee the girl’s physical education program in accordance with school standards and Tribal policies and procedures.
• Upholds school standards and Tribal policies
