Art Teacher - Long-Term Substitute
About The Position
St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic School is seeking a dependable and organized Art Teacher for a full-time, long-term substitute position covering a maternity leave for PreK-8th grade students. The approximate dates for this role are January to March 2027. All necessary curriculum, lesson plans, and project materials will be provided and accessible via Google Classroom before the leave begins. The main responsibilities include implementing the prepared lesson plans, managing classroom behavior and routines, and ensuring the daily care of the art studio for all grade levels.
Requirements
- Experience with elementary and/or middle school classroom management.
- Comfort using Google Classroom.
- Strong organizational skills and reliability.
- Applicants should be faith-filled but do not need to be Catholic, upholding the school's Catholic values and commitment to student development.
- Must submit to a pre-employment screening including criminal background check, Family Care Safety Registration, drug screen, employment and educational licensure/certification verification, and health screening.
Responsibilities
- Execute prepared daily lesson plans via Google Classroom or packet.
- Maintain established classroom management, behavior expectations, and daily routines.
- Supervise student use of art supplies and maintain an organized classroom environment.
