About The Position

We are looking for a Part-Time Art Instructor to lead engaging art programs for children, teens, adults, and families in a recreational setting. This position plans and leads hands-on art activities that are fun, educational, and appropriate for a variety of ages and skill levels.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of basic art techniques and creative processes.
• Skill in communication and organization.
• Ability to independently prepare and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate art programs and interact effectively with participants and families.

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching, facilitating, or leading art activities or programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead art classes, workshops, and specialty programs offered through Parks & Recreation.
• Plan creative, hands-on projects that are engaging and appropriate for participants.
• Provide instruction and guidance while encouraging creativity and individual expression.
• Communicate program needs, supply requirements, and other details with Parks & Recreation staff.
• Provide a positive customer service experience for participants and families.
• Clean and organize the program area and equipment following each class or workshop.
