About The Position

This role involves the careful installation, handling, and transportation of artworks across various settings, ensuring their safety and proper documentation.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to carry out work required in lifting and transporting art works.
  • Work Authorization: Crown will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided. Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with standard museum practices, terminology, and art history.
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management/organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Team player, ability to work with all levels of staff in a dynamic environment.
  • Working knowledge of outdoor sculpture materials.
  • Rigging experience.
  • Awareness and understanding of mounts, supports, and structures.
  • Mounting or frame-making experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install, uninstall, inspect, move, and handle artworks across residential, commercial, corporate, and institutional settings with care, ensuring safe transport and effective team communication.
  • Perform cleaning and preventative maintenance per guidelines, documenting conditions and promptly reporting issues or recommendations.
  • Complete and maintain accurate operational documentation, inventories, and condition reports; support collection management from storage through installation.
  • Wrap, pack, and prepare artworks for transport or storage.
  • Maintain tour-ready housekeeping, work independently with minimal supervision, and comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
