About The Position

The Art Director is a creative professional who works alongside and supports the Creative Director by guiding the visual and narrative aspects of a wide range of projects. This role blends experiential design, 2D graphic design, and digital design to shape how brands are expressed across environments, campaigns, and content. The Art Director ensures every creative output tells a cohesive, emotionally resonant story that connects audiences to the brand on both visual and experiential levels.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience creating content and campaigns for social media and digital marketing, with an understanding of platform-specific best practices, audience engagement, and organic/paid strategy across channels such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Meta.
  • Deep understanding of brand systems, spatial storytelling, and the integration of physical and digital experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, UX design, and emerging creative technologies.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate creative rationale and story intent clearly to internal teams and clients.
  • Experience in creative roles, often with a proven track record of successful digital and or brand projects.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, user experience (UX) design, and emerging digital technologies.
  • BFA in design, exhibit design, architectural, digital design, digital marketing, graphic design, or a related field
  • 5 + years of industry experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe XD for digital design and multimedia projects.
  • Understanding of web design and development tools and languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with prototyping tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD to create interactive digital prototypes.
  • Experience with social media management and scheduling platforms such as Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, or Hootsuite, along with Canva and Adobe Express for rapid content creation, and familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics or Meta Insights to measure and inform campaign performance.

Responsibilities

  • Champion storytelling as the foundation of all creative work. Transform strategic insights into visual narratives that evoke emotion, drive engagement, and bring brand stories to life across experiential, digital, and graphic platforms.
  • Collaborate with creative, strategy, and production teams to conceptualize and develop compelling visual ideas for experiential activations, 2D design systems, digital campaigns, and brand environments.
  • Create immersive visual experiences for events, installations, and brand activations. Work closely with spatial designers and producers to ensure each environment communicates a clear story and supports audience engagement.
  • Design high-impact 2D assets for both physical and digital applications—such as environmental graphics, mockups, signage, campaign key visuals, and print materials—that extend the brand story across every touchpoint.
  • Ensure all creative executions reinforce the brand’s visual identity and tone of voice, maintaining cohesion across experiential, environmental, and digital channels.
  • Help oversee the creation of user-centric digital interfaces, ensuring that they are visually appealing and provide an intuitive user experience.
  • Develop creative systems and content approaches that extend experiential and brand campaigns across social media, digital marketing, email, web, and paid media channels. Partner with strategy, account, and marketing teams to ensure campaign narratives transition seamlessly from pre-event awareness through live engagement and post-event amplification, creating a connected brand experience across all audience touchpoints.
  • Produce original graphics, illustrations, and compositions that visually express the brand narrative and enhance emotional connection.
  • Oversee multiple design projects simultaneously, managing timelines, priorities, and creative resources to deliver exceptional results.
  • Review and approve design work, providing feedback and revisions as necessary to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Stay current on cultural and technological trends in design, storytelling, and experiential media, bringing innovative thinking and fresh perspectives to every project.
