About The Position

The Art Director plays a key role in shaping Lane Bryant’s brand expression across all marketing channels. This leader drives seasonal art direction, oversees daily execution, and mentors a team of designers in a highly collaborative, cross‑functional environment. The ideal candidate blends strong conceptual thinking with hands‑on executional expertise across photo, video, print, and digital.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of art direction or senior design experience, preferably in retail, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
  • Proven experience leading photo and video shoots, from concept through execution.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating brand storytelling across print, digital, and social.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and video editing tools.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment with multiple stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Lead seasonal brand-forward creative concepts that excite customers and inspire internal teams.
  • Provide clear, actionable art direction for laydown photoshoots, social shoots, direct mail, and POS.
  • Oversee execution of daily deliverables and monthly seasonal jobs across print, digital, and in‑store channels.
  • Ensure all creative aligns with brand standards, marketing objectives, and seasonal strategies.
  • Demonstrate hands-on capability in: video editing and video art direction; photo art direction and retouching oversight; Figma, print production, and digital design
  • Manage and mentor a team of designers, fostering growth, clarity, and creative excellence.
  • Partner daily with cross‑functional channel teams—including strategy, ecom, email, social and ops partners to bring campaigns to life.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively to keep partners aligned and projects on track
