About The Position

As Art Director at Gratsy, you'll be responsible for executing high-quality visual design and production-ready assets for our experiential marketing campaigns. This role brings creative concepts to life through strong layout, typography, and visual storytelling across physical, digital, and presentation-based mediums. Our Art Directors are hands-on creative executors who collaborate cross-functionally, contribute to concept development, and own the creation and quality of production files. You'll operate independently, meet deadlines, and deliver consistently strong work aligned to client brand standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, associates or bachelors degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a similar role at an agency or experiential marketing firm
  • Portfolio required
  • Strong conceptual thinking and design execution
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • PowerPoint proficiency for client-facing decks
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Clear communication and openness to feedback without ego
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to be covered under the Gratsy's insurance policy are required

Nice To Haves

  • Shopper marketing or experiential design experience preferred
  • Exposure to 3D rendering software (preferably Blender), AI software, and other emerging creative tools

Responsibilities

  • Translate creative briefs into thoughtful, brand-aligned design solutions
  • Contribute ideas during brainstorms and kickoff meetings
  • Develop concepts from initial idea through final execution that meet experiential goals
  • Design files that are accurate, press-ready, and require minimal revisions across multiple mediums including: Event signage and environmental graphics, Packaging and promotional materials, Social and digital assets, Presentation decks and pitch materials
  • Build production-ready files with correct specs, versioning, and handoff
  • Research client brands and understand visual systems and guidelines
  • Apply brand standards consistently across all deliverables
  • Adapt designs appropriately for different retailers, environments, and audiences
  • Partner with Copy, Client Services, Events, Talent, and Operations ensuring creative work supports timelines and cross-functional needs
  • Participate in kickoff meetings and creative reviews
  • Incorporate feedback professionally and efficiently
  • Maintain a high bar of expectations for layout, typography, color, and composition
  • Proof all work prior to delivery to ensure creative output meets Gratsy's quality standards
  • Stay aware of design trends and experiential innovations
