About The Position

Weber Shandwick is looking for an Art Director to join their award-winning creative team in Chicago. They are described as an engagement agency working at the cutting edge of the new media landscape, focusing on storytelling, content creation, and engaging people in the story. The ideal candidate should be passionate about culture and creativity, fluent in internet culture, understand social media trends, and possess strong design skills. The Art Director will work on provocative challenges for well-known brands alongside bright minds in the industry.

Requirements

A killer portfolio that shows approach to solving problems, not just execution.
2+ years of art direction or design experience (from ad agencies, digital shops, content studios, etc.).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
Ability to build a deck in Keynote or PowerPoint.
A constant curiosity for what's new and next in design, tech, and social media.

Nice To Haves

After Effects or other motion graphics skills.

Responsibilities

Dream up and execute stunning, earned-first concepts that feel native to platforms like TikTok, Instagram, X, and whatever’s next.
Bring the energy and a passion for solving creative puzzles with a can-do spirit from the first brief to the final export.
Use artistic skills across a huge range of projects: branding, storyboards, campaign mockups, presentations, and eye-popping social content.
Collaborate with a crew of smart, collaborative people across different teams.
Share work and thinking with the team to improve ideas.
Master brand guidelines while knowing when and how to creatively push boundaries.
Crank out different versions and resizes of campaign assets.
