About The Position

The Downtown and Tourism Department for the City of Georgetown is offering 1 (one) unpaid internship position to help support the Art Center. This internship will provide opportunities to build/expand the candidate's portfolio through participation in projects and initiatives that will produce writing materials, testimonials, and project samples. The student intern will be working primarily in an office environment under the supervision of the Arts and Culture Program Manager. The internship is 14 hours (3 days) per week. Intern must be available to support the City's Autumn Art Stroll on October 16th, 2026. The City of Georgetown is a municipality of 106,000 (census estimate for 2024) located 30 miles north of Austin along I-35. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Graduate Program with at least 30 semester hours.
  • Dependable transportation is needed.
  • Valid Class "C" Texas driver’s license required. Out-of-state license holders must have a valid license and provide a three (3) year driving history.
  • Must be available to support the City's Autumn Art Stroll on October 16th, 2026.
  • Proof of education, certification(s) and experience as listed on the employment application based on the job posting requirements.
  • Satisfactory results from a pre-employment drug screening, criminal history background and driving record check.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
