About The Position

The Space Electronics Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering Department is looking for an Array Radio Frequency Electronics Engineering Senior Manager (Level L) to lead our Array Electronics Engineering Group in El Segundo, California. The candidate will manage and mentor individual contributors performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of RF Array Electronics design and verification. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop new solutions, help grow and mentor the next generation of engineers, and guide the candidates’ career towards future positions within Boeing leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams for commercial or government satellite programs
  • 10+ years of experience in the field of RF electronics, RF/Microwave test, and phased array electronics
  • Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced technical degree within engineering, mathematics, or physics (ABET accreditation is preferred)
  • Experience in the defense or aerospace industry
  • Experience developing and enforcing engineering processes

Responsibilities

  • Execution and implementation of integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures
  • Providing input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives
  • Acquiring resources for departmental activities
  • Providing technical management of suppliers
  • Leading process improvement initiatives
  • Developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes pertaining to Phased Array units and modules
  • Managing, developing, and motivating individual contributors
  • Driving employee performance development, hiring, and staffing projections
  • Travel at least 10% of the time (as required)
