About The Position

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking an outpatient Psychiatric ARNP to provide psychiatric services to clients in their outpatient Behavioral Health sites and medical clinics. Clients in the Behavioral Health Program will have access to counseling and case management alongside psychiatric services. Those seen at medical clinics will receive evaluation and medication follow-up, but not counseling. The Psychiatric ARNP will be part of a care team, working collaboratively to provide team-based coordinated care and quality comprehensive services to Sea Mar patients. Requirements

  • Valid ARNP license
  • Experience in psychiatric evaluations and medication management
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based care environment
  • Commitment to Sea Mar's mission and values, including client-centered, culturally-aware services
  • Adherence to Sea Mar's mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine policy

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
  • Experience serving diverse communities, particularly the Latino population
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and charting systems

Responsibilities

  • Face to face psychiatric evaluations with client/patients to determine psychiatric diagnosis.
  • Ongoing medication review services to assess the effects of prescribed medication.
  • Consultation with Behavioral Health clinical staff and Sea Mar medical clinic providers to review cases and provide recommendations about diagnosis, medications, and other treatment considerations.
  • Phone availability for emergency review of medications and their effects, or for refilling prescriptions.
  • Phone consultation with Sea Mar physicians so that they can prescribe initial medications until such time as clients can been seen for a face to face for psychiatric/medication review and possible entry into mental health services.
  • Chart documentation to include written notes of psychiatric evaluations, medication reviews, and any other client contacts.
  • Maintain a Psychiatric Medication Chart, make copies of all prescriptions, and obtain all necessary medication consent signatures from each client.
