About The Position

JANUS Research Group is currently seeking a Synthetic Training Devices Analyst for a contract to support the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS, G8. The DCS G-8 is the principal military advisor to the Chief of Staff, Army (CSA) and the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Financial Management and Comptroller (ASA(FMC)) for the Programming phase of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. The DCS, G-8 coordinates with the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASA(ALT)) on all proposed programming and process recommendations related to ongoing and future acquisition programs and science and technology initiatives. The DCS, G-8 coordinates with Army Futures Command (AFC) for program funding for all elements of the future force materiel modernization enterprise. Position Description: Manages loitering munitions and modular mission payload programs, providing technical analysis on mission employment, payload interoperability, targeting integration, and sustainment. Develops information papers, briefings, and SPAR/POM inputs addressing performance, affordability, operational risk, legal/safety considerations, and industrial base impacts. Coordinates with ASA(ALT), T2COM, ARSTAF, Program Managers, and legal/safety stakeholders to align payload modularity, integration standards, and fielding strategies.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or Business
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience and expertise in Force Development duties
  • Demonstrates expert analytical and technical skills in synthetic training devices, immersive simulation, and virtual/constructive training environments.
  • Proficient in assessing interoperability, fidelity, training effectiveness, and lifecycle cost to inform modernization and fielding decisions.
  • Possesses strong systems-integration, data-analysis, and communication abilities to produce clear, evidence-based recommendations that improve readiness and training outcomes
