Aircrew Training Devices Bring your experience and ideas to serve in a Multi-Program Role serving as a process owner for the design, development, integration, and validation of commercial and military training devices. You’ll oversee and lead a team through the entire simulator life cycle through coordination of requirements & specifications definition, design, development/integration, risk management, customer acceptance, and pursuit of new opportunities as related to aircrew training devices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in working within a flight simulation and/or flight training device environment.
  • Prior experience leading teams responsible for defining requirements, design, development, integration, and evaluation of hardware & software for flight .
  • Experience in project cost, performance management, and/or reporting on multi-disciplinary development projects (eg. EVMS)
  • Experience with USG simulation development programs
  • Ability to build and maintain effective teams, relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the teams.
  • Ability to travel domestic and internationally based on business needs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD US Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for design and life cycle management of aircrew training devices to support Bell programs efficiently, within program business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Business Development (BD) to set priority requirements to meet program objectives.
  • Collaborate with IPTs, BD, and third-party vendors to provide comprehensive statements of work, schedules, and budget estimates to meet program objectives.
  • Establish processes for design, prototyping and production of training components to align with program requirements
  • Manage program reviews to include Systems Requirements, System Functional, Preliminary Design and Critical Design Reviews.
  • Execute design reviews ensuring all necessary deliverables are complete and to the required standard.
  • Design, develop, test and deliver aircrew training devices, subassemblies and components per integrated program planning.
  • Perform Risk, Issue and Opportunity (RIO) development and tracking with program management and support IPT RIO management.
  • Coordinate tracking and capturing design decision notices, impacts and design changes as they occur throughout the program.
  • Manage ongoing support of existing components and devices to meet program needs.
  • Establish and manage a comprehensive Capital and OH budget plan to provide accurate forecasting, planning, and spending to align with enterprise finance goals.
