Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
  • Five (5) years of work experience in human resources related positions, public relations, career counseling, or recruiting/job placement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of routine office equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Proficiency in web-based applications.
  • A NACI is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct briefings relating to local and regional opportunities at Transition Points, either in person or virtually.
  • Serve as technical advisors, communication center points, regional administrators, and facilitate the sharing of best practices.
  • Ensure all assigned units within respective regions are briefed and receive official P3O publications, flyers, posters, and other media materials highlighting P3O efforts to support USAR Soldiers and dependents.
  • Brief respective region’s leadership staff and other related USAR organizations on P3O related services and available opportunities supporting Soldiers, Veterans, DAC, and dependents.
  • Actively engage Soldiers at transition points and MFIG to inform and educate them on opportunities (educational credentialing, certification, volunteering, employment) in local communities where they plan to reside after transitioning from active service.
  • Connect Soldiers with potential local and regional opportunities, continued TAP services, and USAR tangible and intangible benefits.
  • Report the number of Soldiers assisted monthly.
  • Formulate and maintain a close working relationship with ARCG to potentially improve strength readiness.
  • Report the number of TAP briefings and the breakdown of Soldiers, other service members, and dependents briefed.
  • Provide P3O support services to Soldiers transitioning into USAR units under their responsible commands, documenting the number and time spent with each Soldier for monthly reports.
  • Assist with the management, oversight, guidance, and support of P3O programs to develop private sector partners and/or collaborators.
  • Maintain an active list of private sector partners, including POC information and current initiatives, programs, and projects supporting P3O’s mission, strategic goals, and must be readily available to P3O staff, FC, MSC, and RD commanders.
  • Provide a monthly report indicating outreach efforts with P3O industry.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
