About The Position

Tactica Solutions is seeking a qualified individual to provide Staff Operations support to the 116th Military Intelligence Brigade (MIB). This is a Senior-level Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) position performing on Government site at Ft. Hood TX with a requirement for occasional travel. The role involves providing advisory subject matter expertise on current or future operations, technical expertise for ISR systems, and support for collection requirements and exploitation management. The individual will also advise on ISR technology improvements, policy changes, and support new systems/procedures. Responsibilities include supporting the development and review of planning documents, advising on impact mitigation, supporting future operations exercise coordination, and managing training resources. The SME will also serve as the expert for TACTMIS and RFMSS, represent the Brigade in meetings, and prepare briefings and presentations. Other support areas include minimizing mission support loss, acting as a regional planner for external engagements, supporting network and logistical architectures, coordinating training resources, and drafting Serious Incident Reports (SIR).

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Army operations
  • Associates degree or higher (or two additional years of relevant experience)
  • Familiarity with US Army manned and unmanned A-ISR sensors, systems, and programs
  • Well versed in all aspects of Army Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) operations and have a basic knowledge of the capabilities of other collection platforms.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally travel in support of Brigade requirements
  • Must be willing to work any shift.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and willing to submit to CI polygraph

Responsibilities

  • Provide advisory subject matter expertise to the BDE and subordinate BN’s command teams on all aspects pertaining to current or future operations (CUOP/FUOP).
  • Provide technical expertise for the optimal employment, utilization, and associated analysis and processing of ISR systems/subsystems; provide expert advice in support of collection requirements and exploitation management activities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on ISR technology improvements, maintain awareness of policy changes, and implement support to new/emerging systems or procedures in order to improve the 116th MI BDE's ability to plan and coordinate collection and exploitation activities.
  • Support development, coordination, preparation, and review of Brigade future orders and planning documents, including operational, functional, and contingency plans.
  • Advise, develop, and tailor BDE and/or BN responses to ensure impact mitigation.
  • Support future operations exercise coordination/preparation for the BDE, monitoring higher staff counterpart communications and liaise with the BDE Training office.
  • Design and implement comprehensive training plans, guidelines, and readiness reports.
  • Manage all training resources, school allocations, and course enrollment using systems like ATRRS.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Total Army Combat and Training Munitions Information System (TACTMIS) and Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS).
  • Attend and represent the Brigade in meetings, video teleconferences, working groups, forums, and technical exchanges related to mission/tasking, existing technology, or new and emerging capabilities that could enhance the BDE's ability to conduct PED.
  • Prepare briefings, white papers, executive summaries and other presentations in support of Brigade requirements or as directed by Brigade S-3 staff.
  • Collaborate externally with intelligence analysts, subject matter experts, and other relevant stakeholders to support Brigade objectives.
  • Support efforts to minimize loss of uninterrupted mission support for 116th MIB supported units (including for surge operations).
  • Represent the Brigade as regional planner and coordinator for external engagements in support of Theater AISR requirements.
  • Support establishment of network and logistical architectures in advance of unit deployments.
  • Coordinate with the Government to obtain access to training resources for training events, including, but not limited to classroom space, multimedia, and hand-outs/student training aids.
  • Draft Serious Incident Reports (SIR) in accordance with Commander Critical Information Requirements (CCIR) for distribution to INSCOM Commanding General and support staff.
