DMS is seeking an Armorer / Site Lead (OBMLS Specialist III/Site Lead) who will supervise and perform armory personnel duties, providing support for classroom and field laboratory instruction for U.S. Navy high-risk training evolutions. This role involves supervising and training Armorers, Armorer/EMTs, and AA&E Range Technicians, with a thorough understanding of maintenance, logistical tasks, and Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) safety, security, and accountability regulations. The position requires assigning and monitoring maintenance for various weapons and training equipment, reporting on material condition and accountability, and managing ammunition and explosives through computer-based applications. The Armorer/Site Lead will also oversee an AE qualifications and certification program and generate technical correspondence. The role demands frequent travel, sometimes unscheduled, and requires a valid driver's license. Work is typically performed in an Ammunitions and Explosives (AE) storage facility, live-fire range facilities, and potentially on small water craft. The work environment can be stressful due to course tempo and may involve indoor/outdoor work in various weather conditions.
