DMS is seeking an Armorer / Site Lead (OBMLS Specialist III/Site Lead) who will supervise and perform armory personnel duties, providing support for classroom and field laboratory instruction for U.S. Navy high-risk training evolutions. This role involves supervising and training Armorers, Armorer/EMTs, and AA&E Range Technicians, with a thorough understanding of maintenance, logistical tasks, and Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) safety, security, and accountability regulations. The position requires managing and monitoring various equipment, reporting material condition and accountability status, and accounting for ammunition and explosives. The Armorer/Site Lead will also oversee an AE qualifications and certification program, generate technical correspondence, and coordinate service contracts. The role demands frequent travel, sometimes unscheduled, and requires a valid driver's license. Work environments can include AE storage facilities, live-fire ranges, and potentially underway on small water craft, with exposure to various weather conditions and potentially stressful work environments. Successful candidates must be US Citizens, meet Lautenberg Amendment requirements, and be capable of qualifying as an AE worker.
