About The Position

As a Armed Security Shipyard Officer Afternoon Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will support access control, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident activity in accordance with site requirements.
  • Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and complete accurate reports, logs, and shift communications for security-related activities.
