About The Position

Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services, a global leader in security and threat mitigation, is hiring an Armed Security Operative. This role is part of our risk and consulting group and involves conducting patrols, controlling access, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)
• Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
• Must be able to work 2 to 3 days per week
• Must be able to work shifts from 11am to 7pm

Nice To Haves

• Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
• Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Intercede, escort, or assist in escorting, persons as needed
• Observe and report inappropriate or suspicious behavior and/or materials/objects to the client
• Communicate and/or document any irregular security-related or safety-related incidents
• Conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior)
• Control access and egress
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems
• Compose reports
• Deter criminal activity and misconduct
