About The Position

This part-time position is for a Protective Security Officer (PSO) in Presque Isle, ME, with varying shifts Monday-Friday. It is ideal for retired law enforcement or military personnel seeking a part-time schedule. PSOs are responsible for security and monitoring work, including securing federal buildings and property, protecting personnel, equipment, and material, and controlling access for employees and visitors throughout Maine. Duties also include responding to emergencies, conducting inspections, perimeter checks, and access control.

Requirements

2 years of previous security experience, OR military experience, OR law enforcement experience
Clean background check (no felonies or domestic violence/assault charges)
U.S. Citizen / hold a social security card
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Minimum of 21 years of age
Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English
Pass a Medical Evaluation
Drug Screen
Must have a Valid Driver’s License
Government Security Clearance (Company will assist)
Must pass a Maine background check (Company will assist)
First Aid/AED/CPR Certification (Company will provide training at no cost)
OC/Baton certification (Company will provide training at no cost)
Must be able to pass a medical physical and drug screen (Company will pay for)
All candidates will have to go to Massachusetts for their new hire training (approximately 12 days- company pays for hotel)
