About The Position
The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. The officer will be either in a patrol vehicle or posted at a specific entrance for access control.
Requirements
- 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Above average computer / technology skills needed
- Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
- Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift
- Must have a professional demeanor
- Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation
- All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
- 12 months of armed experience, military, or law enforcement required
- Candidate will be required to pass psychological profile, NRA class, and obtain Armed KCMO guard card
- MVR required as it’s a driving post
