Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site directives, maintaining professional presence and following all applicable post orders for assigned government operations.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations when required, and report security-related issues, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
