Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control activities, and/or emergency response activities at a media and broadcast location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access, and help to enforce site rules regarding restricted areas, equipment protection, and after-hours activity.
  • Carry authorized armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and local regulations, maintaining professional presence and readiness while supporting daily security-related operations.
