As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, help to deter incidents through a visible presence, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-focused culture built on integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial facilities, including production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials, document visitor and contractor activity, and report unauthorized activity or unusual conditions.
• Maintain required reports and activity logs, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and follow applicable armed post procedures.
