Requirements
- 21+ Years of Age
- Active Armed Guard Card/License
- Valid Driver's License
- 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security Experience
- Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least five years of armed security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
- Monitor for unusual activity, potential loss prevention concerns, and other security-related issues; document observations and communicate them to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain professional conduct and follow applicable laws, company policies, and site requirements regarding assigned equipment and use of force.
