Requirements

  • Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Class D (Unarmed Security License) and Class G License (Armed Security License) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Law Enforcement preferred.
  • Security Professional preferred.
  • Ability to effectively read, write and type incident reports

Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor for and respond quickly and professionally to all security threats, incidents, and hazards.
  • Conduct investigations, meticulously document incidents, and assist in training staff on the environment of care and emergency management procedures/drills.
  • Act as a helpful resource, providing information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote overall safety.
  • Perform foot and vehicle patrols, manage traffic and parking enforcement, and report any potential equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain safe and responsible driving practices while operating facility vehicles
