About The Position

Workable Solutions Investigative & Protective Services, LLC (WSIPS) is actively recruiting experienced, dependable, and professionally licensed Armed Security Officers for immediate assignments throughout Montgomery, Alabama, and surrounding communities. We are seeking highly motivated security professionals who take pride in their appearance, demonstrate sound judgment, maintain exceptional standards of conduct, and are committed to protecting people, property, and communities. This position is strictly for currently licensed armed security officers who possess their own duty weapon. To be considered, applicants MUST possess a current, valid Alabama Security Regulatory Board (ASRB) Armed Security Officer License, own a serviceable duty weapon suitable for authorized armed security assignments and compliant with company requirements, and include their current ASRB Armed License number or proof of active armed licensing with their application. We are not accepting applications from unarmed security officers without current armed licensing, individuals awaiting initial armed certification or licensing, applicants who do not possess their own qualifying duty weapon, or applications that do not establish current armed licensing.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a current Alabama ASRB Armed Security Officer License in good standing.
Own an appropriate duty weapon and meet all company firearm qualification and authorization requirements.
Possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Have reliable transportation to and from assigned duty locations.
Possess a high school diploma or GED.
Successfully complete required criminal background checks and drug screening.
Demonstrate strong communication, conflict-resolution, and customer service skills.
Maintain a neat, professional appearance and a respectful demeanor.
Exhibit sound judgment, integrity, accountability, and situational awareness.
Be physically capable of performing assigned security duties.
Be willing to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when operationally necessary.
Comply with all applicable state regulations, company policies, post orders, and firearm safety requirements.
Must possess their own duty weapon.
Must have a current, valid Alabama Security Regulatory Board (ASRB) Armed Security Officer License.
Must include their current ASRB Armed License number or proof of active armed licensing with their application.

Nice To Haves

Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, executive protection, or professional armed security experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Maintain a visible, professional armed security presence to deter criminal activity, unauthorized access, and security threats.
Conduct assigned foot and vehicle patrols to identify safety hazards, suspicious activity, and potential security concerns.
Monitor entrances and exits, verify authorized access, and enforce client-specific security procedures.
Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, and security incidents within the scope of training and authority.
Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Follow established post orders, operational directives, company policies, and client instructions.
Coordinate appropriately with supervisors, clients, emergency responders, and law enforcement personnel.
Provide courteous assistance to employees, visitors, vendors, and members of the public.
Maintain strict compliance with firearm safety standards, authorized equipment requirements, and applicable laws.
Report for duty on time, properly uniformed, alert, equipped, and prepared to perform all assigned responsibilities.
Remain vigilant, exercise professionalism, and represent Workable Solutions with integrity at all times.
