Armed Security Officer Orlando Area Part time
About The Position
Excelsior Defense is seeking an Armed Security Officer to join our exceptional team. This part-time role involves protecting client premises, assets, and personnel. The officer will maintain a high visibility presence, prevent illegal or inappropriate actions, and manage access control. Responsibilities include conducting rounds and scanning at various points within housing authority properties. A valid, active Armed License is required. The officer must be prompt in patrolling the community to ensure safety. Excelsior Defense is looking for a reliable individual willing to work every weekend.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a security officer or relevant position
- Valid D and G security license (must be active with both)
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Must have your own weapon
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- Integrity and professionalism
- Detailed report writing

Responsibilities
- Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Apprehend criminals and evict violators
- Report and detain any suspicious incidents
- Conduct rounds and scanning in different points throughout the property
- Patrol the community to ensure safety
