As a Armed Security Officer in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

• Supervisory experience is required.
• At least five years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Carry authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures, and complete accurate incident reports and patrol documentation.
