This role involves commissioned armed law enforcement positions in Clarkville, TN, working as part of the Tennessee Highway Patrol Protective Services division. The Armed Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect, acting as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions. They detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts that may be a threat to the property, clients, guests, or employees.

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years in Security, the Last 3 of Those Years Must be Armed, OR 3+ years in Military (honorable discharge), OR 3+ years in Law Enforcement
• 21+ Years of Age
• Valid Driver's License
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience
• Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state)
• Excellent communication skills; able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports
• Able to complete all range qualifications and functions

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Preserve order and enforces rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site
• Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.
• Greet guests and employees, assisting where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, secure classified information
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriate
• Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary
