About The Position

City Security Services is seeking Transit Security Officers to provide professional security services throughout METRO facilities. Officers will serve as a visible security presence while responding to incidents and assisting patrons, employees, and visitors. This is a part-time, overnight position with 16 hours per week, specifically on Fridays from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Saturdays from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $22/hr and the location is Houston, TX 77066.

Requirements

21 years of age or older.
Active Level 3 security certification and guard license in hand.
Current baton and OC certifications.
Valid driver's license.
Clean driving record for the past three years.
Ability to pass the required physical readiness assessment.
Ability to complete 24 hours of required training.
Basic proficiency with computers and technical applications.
Bachelor's degree and demonstrated qualifications for the position.
Associate degree in criminal justice/security and two years of security experience.
Three years of combined military, law enforcement, or corrections experience.
Five years of verifiable commercial security experience.

Responsibilities

Provide security coverage at assigned transit facilities.
Conduct foot and mobile patrols.
Monitor facility activity and report suspicious or unauthorized behavior.
Enforce applicable facility rules and procedures.
Respond to alarms, emergencies, criminal activity, and security incidents.
Assist individuals experiencing illness or injury.
Provide basic first aid when appropriate.
Request police, fire, EMS, or other emergency assistance when necessary.
Identify safety hazards, spills, damaged equipment, and maintenance concerns.
Process visitors and control authorized access.
Maintain accurate incident documentation.
Follow established General Orders, Post Orders, facility plans, and supervisor direction.
