Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will respond to security-related concerns with professionalism, working as part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with local law enforcement when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones, to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help observe suspicious behavior, support loss prevention efforts, and/or follow post orders related to authorized access.
  • Prepare clear reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or observed conditions, and communicate important updates to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives as appropriate.
