As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, control access, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns in accordance with site procedures.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with established procedures.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities through accurate reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and responding agencies as needed.
