About The Position

Excelsior Defense is seeking an Armed Security Officer to join our exceptional team. This part-time role involves protecting client premises, assets, and personnel. The officer will maintain a high visibility presence, prevent illegal or inappropriate actions, and manage access control. Responsibilities include conducting rounds and scanning at various points within housing authority properties. The ideal candidate must possess an active Armed License, be reliable, and willing to work every weekend. This position is located in the Orlando Area.

Requirements

• Report Writing Skills Required
• Proven work experience as a security officer or relevant position
• Valid D and G security license (Needs to be active with both security license)
• Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
• Must have your own weapon
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
• Surveillance skills and detain orientation
• Integrity and professionalism
• Detailed report writing

Responsibilities

• Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
• Apprehend criminals and evict violators
• Report and detain any suspicious incidents
• Conducting rounds and scanning in different points throughout the property
• Patrolling the community to ensure safety
