Requirements

  • Must have 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Must possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or patients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the outer perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and report security-related issues, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions and assistance, and following post orders while working in varying conditions across the location.
