About The Position

OPS Security Group is a trusted security provider supporting government and commercial sites across PA, NJ, and DE. Our team is known for professionalism, reliability, and maintaining high standards in the field. We focus on placing officers in stable roles with clear expectations and consistent schedules. In this role Physical Security Officers (PSO’s) can expect to be working in demanding and fast paced environments. PSO’s may find themselves working in a wide range of areas to include medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues and public events. Additionally PSOs may be asked to work with a firearm. The PSOs mission is to protect all people, information and property assigned, while delivering on high end customer service. PSOs represent the front line of our security services.

Requirements

  • ACT 235 (current)
  • 21 years of age
  • Current and valid DL
  • High school diploma or GED
  • (1) year experience in armed security recommended
  • Must be able to pass Physical Agility Test and Armed Security Officer course
  • Must be able to pass drug screen
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient time management skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent de-escalation skills
  • Proficient firearms skills
  • Extensive use of force knowledge
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening and OPS training requirements

Nice To Haves

  • (1) year experience in armed security recommended

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high end customer service
  • Responding to emergencies
  • Deterring and preventing crime
  • Performing ingress/ egress control procedures
  • Investigating incidents
  • Completing daily logs and incident reports
  • Conducting regular walking or vehicle patrols
  • Building and Maintaining a professional rapport with clients, guests and co-workers
  • De-escalating conflicts
  • Monitoring CCTV cameras
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
