Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
- Must pass a background check and drug test screening.
- Retired in good standing from one of the following: Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), U.S. Park Police (USPP), U.S. Capitol Police (USCP), Montgomery Counts (PD), Prince George County (PD)
- Current District of Columbia Special Police Officer (SPO) license
- Current authorization/qualification to work armed in the District of Columbia
- Prior law-enforcement or professional security experience
- Active Shooter/Active Threat training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent situational awareness and observational skills
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during high-stress situations
- Physically fit and capable of performing the essential duties of the position
- Ability to pass all required company and client screening requirements
- A current D.C. Special Police Officer (SPO) license is mandatory.
- Candidates must maintain all required D.C. licensing, firearms qualifications, training, and certifications necessary to legally perform armed security duties in the District.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior security presence for the assigned national media facility.
- Supervise and provide direction to security personnel assigned to the location.
- Maintain a highly visible, professional security presence.
- Monitor access control, visitor screening, employee entrances, and restricted areas.
- Respond to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and threats.
- Coordinate response to active-threat/active-shooter incidents in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain close communication with client management and PGS USA leadership.
- Prepare and maintain accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation.
- Conduct security inspections and identify vulnerabilities or potential security concerns.
- Ensure security personnel comply with post orders, policies, procedures, and client requirements.
- Assist with emergency response planning, drills, and security exercises.
- Coordinate with MPD and other emergency responders when necessary.
- Exercise sound judgment regarding the appropriate use of force and escalation of incidents.
- Protect employees, visitors, guests, executives, and client property.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client operations, personnel, security procedures, and sensitive information.
