About The Position

Afognak Diversified Services, Inc, a company of Afognak Native Corporation, has opportunities for full-time Armed Security Officers. The Armed Security Officer duties and responsibilities include a variety of security-related duties such as Access Control, Roving Patrols, Traffic Control, Control Issuance and Storage of keys, Security and Fire Systems, Building Rules and Regulations, Response to Incident, Injury, Illness, and other security-related duties as required. This is a full-time position. The role involves responding to a variety of calls/incidents, securing/safeguarding crime scenes, performing crowd control as required, performing personnel, vehicular and building facility checks, providing First Aid and CPR as required, and completing all required reports, forms, and other documentation in accordance with established procedures. Officers will staff posts continuously and provide access control, deter/report unauthorized personnel or vehicular entry, direct traffic, provide information to visitors, and screen packages. Responsibilities also include safely maintaining and qualifying with assigned weapons, maintaining uniform and grooming standards in accordance with company policies, operating patrol vehicles safely, conducting flag protocols, safeguarding all assets, providing motorist assistance, and escorting persons and equipment. Familiarity with security systems including CCTV and mobile security applications is expected. The pay rate is $20.00 to $25.00 hourly. Upon completion of all required internal certifications and training, the Security Officer is eligible for an hourly pay rate increase of up to $2.00 more within 90 days of hire date.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Flexible to work various shifts, to include weekends and Holidays
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment Physical Readiness Test
• Must possess and maintain state required Armed Security Officer licensing
• Must possess and maintain state required Concealed Carry Permit (where applicable)
• Current Operator’s permit (Driver’s License)
• Must be self-motivated
• Ability to work with little supervision
