About The Position

Afognak Diversified Services, Inc, a company of Afognak Native Corporation, has an opportunity for a Full-Time Armed Security Officer in Herndon, VA. The Full-Time Armed Security Officer secures the facility under established operating procedures and processes. This role involves responding to a variety of calls/incidents, securing and safeguarding specific scenes, and performing crowd control as required. The officer will conduct personnel, vehicular, and building facility checks, and provide First Aid and CPR as needed. Responsibilities include completing all required reports and forms via an electronic security application, safely maintaining and qualifying with assigned weapons, and adhering to uniform and grooming standards. The role also involves operating a patrol vehicle safely, conducting flag protocols, safeguarding all assets, providing motorist assistance, and escorting persons and equipment as needed. Other assignments will be conducted in accordance with established SOPs.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
Successfully pass a criminal history background investigation.
Must Speak English fluently; read and comprehend written English.
Must be capable of learning new computer programs and applications.
Must be able to work various shifts, to include weekends and Holidays.
Must be able to successfully complete approximately 80 hrs. of company provided training. (Classes are scheduled 7 days a week).
Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen.
Must be able to successfully complete and pass all company provided training; to include Expandable Baton, Defensive Tactics, and incident report writing.
Must possess a Drivers License (If Driving is required).
Must be able to successfully pass the Afognak Driver’s Safety Course.
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with little supervision.
Security Officer Guard State Licensing is required.
Concealed Carry Permit is required after hiring.
Must be professional and customer service orientated.
