Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Have access control or badge experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, incident, and patrol activity in accordance with site requirements.
  • Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and perform duties in compliance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.
