Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
Have access control and badge experience preferred.
Have customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to government facility personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and hazardous conditions to appropriate personnel.
Maintain required documentation, including patrol activity, incident reports, and daily logs, while handling assigned equipment in accordance with applicable policies and training.
