Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have access control and badge experience preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to government facility personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and hazardous conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain required documentation, including patrol activity, incident reports, and daily logs, while handling assigned equipment in accordance with applicable policies and training.
