Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, screening practices, and security-related protocols within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate escalation, de-escalation, and emergency response actions.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document security-related events, observations, and incidents according to post orders.
  • Support staff and visitors during medical emergencies, facility disruptions, and after-hours activity by communicating with supervisors, first responders, and/or site contacts as needed.
